Raised by tree huggers, my conscious care for earth and its inhabitants found its way into my routines, especially throughout my coming of age. Reducing plastic waste became an obvious solution while becoming an adult. Obvious, yet difficult. Until one observes their plastic usage, it is quite hard to believe how much of our daily life is surrounded by synthetic polymers - including most tea bags. Switching to loose-leaf blends is one of the steps I made towards reducing plastic consumption (both for my body and the earth).

Inspired by nature and craving routine, I started mixing herbal blends in order to replace addictive consumption. From caffeine, to screen-time and smoking, I craved a way to settle down or treat myself after a long day. Drinking a warm cup reminds me to slow down and brings comforting memories. Through taste and research, I started creating new herbal blends - developing a passion for brewing. Not only does it make me feel like a witch paying homage to ancestral roots, it is spiritually healing.

What started as gifts for friends and families during holidays or a nightcap for guests, turned into a growing demand from those who got a sip. So, in order to keep up with the people’s wants and my time, I decided to open Whimsy Knight Co. I am able to chase my childhood dreams of art, nature, and science because of the belief and support loved ones have shown me through this process.

All of my interests of botany, patterns, art, cooking, reading, and gardening coalesce here. It is important to note, I am not a licensed herbalist. Although, I do hope the growth of Whimsy Knight Co. will allow me to further my herbal education. These blends are made with taste in mind. I have intention for feelings when using herbs, not the intention of physically healing. I currently source from Starwest Botanicals, Frontier Co-op, Mountain Rose Herbs, and Kalustyan’s. All ingredients are organic and I package without plastic (unless is is reused/reclaimed).
